Journey to the center of the universe-2

It was my first Int’l trip alone. From the day I started dreaming, I dreamt of traveling. Around the world in 80 days, Journey to the mysterious island, Journey to the center of the earth and the other tv series about the travels became my favorite. When I was in 12th grade, the time when Internet and Facebook were getting popular among the teens I made my parents take the internet connection at home just to watch a travel series telecasted in the local channel online.

Traveling around the world and seeing all the wonders that have been created by God before I lose my vision became my greatest wish. But I neither had the guts to travel alone nor had enough money.

But then when the circumstances changed I decided to follow my dream and overcome my worries traveling.

For it was my first trip alone I did the homework for almost 6 months because I couldn’t let anything go wrong on my first trip.

  1. Weather in Bali.
I checked the weather cycle for the last 2 years before traveling to Bali.

    • Lying just 8o south of the Equator, Bali can boast a tropical climate with just two seasons a year. A dry season and wet season with an average temperature of around 28o Celsius.  High season is during the months of July and August, during Easter Holidays, and Christmas / New Year (December till 1st week of January). This is the time Bali is the busiest. However, for many reasons, the best time to go to Bali is AprilMayJune and September, just before and just after high season. And I decided to go Bali in an offseason, during the first week of November, right before the wet season and when the sun is getting weaker.
  2. Booking your tickets.
  3. Booking your rooms at the right location.
    • Book your rooms via Airbnb or
    • Make sure you pre-check with the hostel/hotel/ resort about your booking before landing Bali and confirm your check-in time. There are cases when the bookings made through the apps get overlapped and the first one to check-in gets the room and the other end up on the streets.
  4. Make sure you have a travel Insurance.
    • Easiest mode of transportation in Bali are two-wheelers. And most of the adventure activities in Bali are accident prone. Hospitals in Bali will definitely break the bank. So it’s wise to have a travel Insurance.
  5. Decide on what you want to do in Bali.
  6. Make yourself familiar with the place names and attractions in Bali.
